About:
My research focuses on the mechanisms related to extreme precipitation in Tropical South America in different spatiotemporal scales: from the subcontinental to the local scale, and from the annual and seasonal to the event scale. My interests are also in the field of mountain meteorology, especially in the surface atmosphere interactions that drive water and energy exchanges. I teach Climate and Climate Change related courses at the MSc level and Sustainability and Data Science Courses at the undergrad level.
Research:
Research Assistant in the project “Ciclos meteorológicos y evapotranspiración a lo largo de una gradiente altitudinal del Parque Nacional Cajas”. September 2013 – August 2017.
PhD candidate in the project “High-resolution radar analysis of precipitation extremes in Ecuador and north Peru and implications of the ENSO-dynamics”. October 2019 – June 2023.
