About:

My research interests are focused on ecohydrology and hydrometeorology. In particular, to study the components of the hydrological cycle as rainfall and runoff for understanding their behavior and interactions with the environment. This is necessary to contribute with solutions for a sustainable development.

Currently, I am working on the analysis of tropical rainfall and its classification by using data-driven approaches. The rainfall data were obtained using remote sensors as the vertically pointing Micro Rain Radar, which is a novel instrument in Southern America. This study allows to provide better insights about the behavior of rainfall in Andean mountains and its temporal variability.

Master Thesis:

Analysis of rainfall types in the tropical Andes based on a clustering approach using observations of vertically pointing Micro-Rain Radar and Laser Disdrometer.
